COUNSELLORS

Taylor MacNeil

OWNER/COUNSELLOR

I strive to make sure my clients are comfortable during sessions and hope to create a sense of peace and warmth. My office is a safe space for people of all races, religions, and sexual orientations. I favour a solution-focused and cognitive-behavioural approach to counselling, with my main goal being a strong therapeutic alliance with each of my clients.  When working with younger clients, my goal is to find fun and exciting ways to introduce therapeutic strategies through the use of games, as well as arts and crafts.

I hope to work mostly with young clients who are on the Autism Spectrum, have been diagnosed with or are experiencing symptoms of ADHD, or are exhibiting behavioural issues. I want to help each of my clients reach their personal goals, whether that is becoming more organized, gaining a new outlook, or just having a non judgemental ear.

Jocelynn Tompkins

REGISTERED SOCIAL WORKER

I hold a Bachelor of Social Work degree from St. Thomas University, and am a registered social worker through the NBASW; I am also a MSW candidate for the Fall of 2024.

I provide in person and virtual counselling services to youth and adults for the greater Fredericton area.  I offer virtual sessions so counselling can be done from the comfort of your home, and is more accessible to those who may not be able to travel.

I use an eclectic approach with my clients to create a therapeutic, safe and collaborative

setting. I also draw upon a strengths-based, solution-focused holistic approach by meeting clients where they are and in helping them work toward where they want to be.

I am passionate about self-determination and empowerment, working with victims of domestic violence, healthy relationships, anxiety and transitions in parenthood.  I have 15 years of social work-related experience working with women and children who have

experienced adversities and trauma.

I am currently taking on new clients and am available most evenings and some weekends. Please feel free to email me at JoceTompkins.Counselling@gmail.com, or MacNeil.MBSWellness@gmail.com to contact MBS Wellness directly.  I look forward to meeting you and helping you in your mental health journey.
